About
Madden’s Junior Golf Programs include beginner and intermediate youth golf camps, S.N.A.G. Intro to Golf Camp, Junior Golf Development 1 and 2 Camps, a High Performance Summer Program, and a Junior Golf League. Participants work on full swing fundamentals such as grip, stance, alignment, and ball position; short game skills including chipping, pitching, and putting; and golf etiquette such as where to stand, being quiet, and caring for bunkers and pitch marks. The programs also cover athletic movement skills, golf-specific movement skills, general sports skills, scoring, swing plane, optimizing driving for distance and direction, understanding the Rules of Golf, and knowledge of how far they hit each club, with some sessions including one hour of instruction followed by supervised play.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Camps and leagues are offered in June, July, and August, with options such as 8-week, 9-week, 4-week, 3-week, and single-week sessions; many sessions meet once per week for one hour of instruction, sometimes followed by 1 to 1.5 hours of supervised play.
• Price: S.N.A.G. Intro to Golf Camp ranges from $30 for a single week to $195.99 for an 8-week session; Junior Golf Development 1 and 2 Camps range from $35 for a single week to $199.99 for a 9-week session; the 2026 Junior Golf League is $235.00 and Madden's Junior Golf Pass is $275 plus tax, while Youth on Course rates are $5 per round for junior golfers.
Lead instructors include Cody Mager, Head Golf Professional at The Classic at Madden’s; Hank Sogge, Assistant Golf Professional at The Classic at Madden’s; and Chris Foley of Chris Foley Golf Schools. The mission of Madden’s Junior Golf Programs is to provide each student with a customized improvement plan designed around the student’s goals, ability level, and physical fitness, with a teaching style that is fun, relaxing, and focused on showing real improvement without overwhelming the student. The High Performance Summer Program offers eight individual lessons focusing on full swing, high-performance group sessions on scoring skills and game management, practice sessions, and Junior Golf League practices and matches. The 2026 Junior Golf League runs July 7–August 11 with practices on Mondays from 5–6pm and matches on Wednesdays from 5–7pm, includes six practices and six matches, uses a Scramble format modeled after the Ryder Cup, and provides each participant with a team golf shirt and hat in a team format similar to T-ball.
Madden’s Junior Golf program has helped develop several members of the 2026 Brainerd Warriors Boys Golf State Championship team and has helped develop many of the area’s top young golfers. Madden’s partners with Chris Foley Golf Schools to offer extended instruction options for juniors, ladies, and adults, and is a proud partner of Youth On Course, through which junior golfers may play specified courses for $5. The S.N.A.G. Intro to Golf Camp uses specialized equipment with larger club heads and balls, some Junior Golf Development programs offer girls-only sessions at 10:00 am, and carts are available for an additional fee with Madden’s Junior Golf Pass, with junior golfers allowed to play Saturday and Sunday before noon if accompanied by a paid adult.
