About

Xolos Academy FC Minnesota offers a competitive travel soccer program along with recreational leagues, development programs, advanced programs, and a special camp. The program uses a professionally developed training program that focuses on skill development and competitive play for all age levels, with training aimed at being a well-rounded soccer player and an outstanding citizen off the field.

Xolos Academy FC Minnesota is a youth soccer developmental and competitive organization that serves athletes of various ages throughout the region. The academy carries the name of the Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente professional Mexican First Division team in the LIGA Bancomer MX, and its academy and teams reflect the strategies and planning that the Mexican First Division team practices. Coaches teach the same or similar ideas used in the senior team for competition and development, and the academy uses the slogan “#WeAreSoccer” and the tagline “Join the team without borders.”

According to its mission statement, Xolos Academy FC believes youth sports play a vital role in the development of young athletes and children in general, and states that its duty is to teach children the importance of good sportsmanship, the rewards of hard work and practice, and what it takes to win while cherishing victory through its tactics and academy strategies. The mission statement explains that success is measured by the number of children developed into elite players, not by the number of games won, and that coaches, staff, and parents are dedicated to give everything they can to players, the club, and the community. The academy states that it welcomes everyone, from recreational leagues to development and advanced programs to its special camp, and that it is dedicated to teaching athletes what it takes to be a successful soccer player and responsible citizen while adhering to Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente principles and guidelines. The mission statement also notes that teams strive to allow players the opportunity to gain a college scholarship or make a professional career out of their experience, that athletes are sure to have fun, learn about the game, and acquire skills that can help them be successful on and off the field, and that the academy is dedicated to creating elite soccer players that can eventually have the chance to become part of its professional teams.

The organization notes its community involvement by stating that coaches, staff, and parents are dedicated to give everything they can to players, the club, and the community. Several athletes have leveraged their time and development with the academy into collegiate soccer programs ranging from Division III to Division I programs, and the academy describes itself as a stepping stone to what could be a bright soccer career with the possibility to be part of teams at the next level.
