I Got Skills Soccer + Futsal

I Got Skills Soccer + Futsal offers soccer training, futsal training, and technical training, along with camps, private coaching, open soccer, pickup games, small-sided tournaments, and leagues. Training activities can include footwork, moves, and turns; dribbling, passing, and receiving; shooting and finishing; heading and ball control; movement away from the ball; awareness, vision, and decision-making; and speed, strength, coordination, and agility. The program offers soccer and futsal technical training and programs for players of all levels from ages 4–18.

I Got Skills Soccer + Futsal was founded by Jason Popkin. I Got Skills began in 2008, and in 2011, Hawaii Street Soccer became I Got Skills and launched its first youth soccer camp. The stated mission is: Developing confidence and character through soccer. The organization offers summer, winter, and school-break Minnesota soccer camps and has been described as “The #1 Soccer Camp in Hawaii.” Since its beginning, I Got Skills has continued to promote the game through youth camps, technical training, pickup games, small-sided tournaments, leagues, futsal, and other opportunities for people to play. The program states that it focuses on developing technical skills and confidence, emphasizes individual needs and development rather than treating every player the same, and combines a fun, positive atmosphere with purposeful, structured training. It also states that it uses soccer to help young people develop confidence, character, resilience, creativity, and a lifelong desire to learn, provides exceptional coaching, encourages free play, and helps build soccer facilities and public places where everyone has the opportunity to play.
