For more than 30 years, Bright Horizons has helped children discover their individual talents and strengths and become confident learners for life. The curriculum is designed by experts, facilitated by educators, and created with working parents in mind, with a focus on school readiness and flexible schedules all year round. The program emphasizes Discovery Driven Learning and a science-informed approach to teaching and learning, with a focus on developing a growth mindset, executive function, and preparation for 21st century skills, including managing academic, social, and behavioral expectations of elementary school. Social-emotional learning is included through attention to emotional intelligence, personal power, and social skills.

All Bright Horizons Minneapolis staff are trained regularly in CPR / First Aid and Universal Precautions. Bright Horizons conducts a comprehensive background check on all prospective employees and frequent visitors, including a county criminal record check for the past seven years in all counties a person has lived, worked, or attended school, plus a sex offender search, OFAC search, and a social security verification trace. Bright Horizons continues to monitor area and local public health guidelines and consults medical experts to guide health and safety practices.

Families use the MyBrightDay app to receive photos, real-time updates on care, learning, and milestones, and important notifications. Working parents can register at up to three Bright Horizons child care locations and be placed on waitlists, with priority often given to currently enrolled children. Bright Horizons Family Solutions also provides on-site child care, back-up care, elder care, college coaching, special needs support, workforce consulting, and education benefits for employers.

Bright Horizons has been named to Boston Business Journal’s 2025 Best Places to Work. One parent, Robyn S., states, “I know my kids are not only safe, but happy and learning. I love that they have a structure that allows them to maintain some normalcy.” A Bright Horizons Back-Up Care user describes the back-up care as “an unexpected blessing, very much appreciated as it allows working parents to maintain their productivity” and notes that their family “transitioned seamlessly between school/daycare and back-up care on our breaks and unexpected losses of care experienced during the pandemic.”
