About
Minneapolis Millers Youth Baseball (Minneapolis Youth Baseball Association) offers travel baseball teams, a house league development recreational baseball program, and the Oliva League in-house competitive baseball program. The program also organizes fundraising activities, including a golf tournament with a hole-in-one contest, a silent auction, and fundraising via the FlipGive app.
• Ages: 5–15 years old
• Schedule: The fourth annual Millers & Storm golf tournament is Thursday, June 11, with a 10 AM shotgun start.
• Price: $95/player includes range balls, greens fees, cart, and a chance to win $10,000 in a hole-in-one contest.
The Minneapolis Youth Baseball Association (MYBA) is a non-profit organization operated by volunteers who are passionate about teaching kids to play baseball, with a goal of placing kids at a level of competition that supports their long-term development and reaffirms their love of baseball. MYBA fields the Minneapolis Millers Travel Teams for players in 3rd through 9th grade (9U–14/15U), runs a House League development recreational program for players in kindergarten through 4th grade, and has expanded the House League to include the Oliva League for 5th and 6th graders. Travel Teams are divided into three skill levels (AAA, AA, A) and compete in the Metro Baseball League, while House League development teams compete in recreational leagues at the coach pitch and kid pitch levels, and Oliva League teams compete in-house as a bridge between recreational and travel leagues. Scholarships are available, and board membership is a 2-year commitment. The organization thanks its sponsors, with special thanks to grants from the Minnesota Twins and Hennepin County.
The program’s website is powered by SportsEngine's Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software and is subject to the Minneapolis Youth Baseball Association privacy policy. The fourth annual Millers & Storm golf tournament is held at Columbia Golf Club, and families are invited to participate in a golf event that includes a silent auction and sponsorship opportunities. Introducing FlipGive, MYBA uses this app so that merchants give a portion of purchase prices to the Millers, with each 12U team family joining their player’s team in FlipGive to fundraise for out-of-state tournaments and other qualifying items, and all other teams fundraising for their combined age group. Families select the age group for their player within the FlipGive app, such as 13U combined teams.
