About
Snapology STEAM Programs offers hands-on activities such as animation, robotics, coding, and a variety of engineering challenges. Children take part in projects like animation using LEGO bricks and stop-motion animation software, Star Wars challenges that include designing custom light sabers to withstand several Jedi challenges, and robot challenges where they build and program robotic models that move, make sounds, and respond to sensors. Additional activities include building robots to complete different challenges and creating amusement park adventures by building coasters and other rides with motors, while exploring robotics, coding, and design challenges using LEGO bricks, K’Nex, and technology.
• Ages: 4–14 years old
Snapology describes its mission as providing children’s enrichment with year-round STEAM learning programs that engage children from ages 4 to 14, using fun, hands-on activities to teach Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. The program states that while children are exploring robotics, coding, and design challenges using LEGO bricks, K’Nex, and technology, they are building skills that will help them throughout school and their careers, and that to kids, it feels like fun. Snapology describes itself as a premier partner for STEAM programs and notes that its classes are designed based on research showing that children’s best learning experiences come from actively designing, creating, interacting, and inventing.
Snapology STEAM Programs are offered as after-school programs, summer camps, workshops, field trips, birthday parties, assemblies, and custom events. Snapology Camps are described as a fun and engaging way for kids to enjoy a summer or school-year break while building skills and confidence and making new friends. Birthday parties are described as combining traditional party elements with educational activities and as being easy and affordable for parents.
Snapology states that programs are available in schools, community facilities, homes, and in Snapology Discovery Centers, and that community-based programs are hosted at local facilities and special events for schools and groups. Discovery Centers are described as interactive play spaces filled with educational tools for children to explore, with creative play, on-site classes, and special events, and classrooms are described as conveniently located to provide educational programs, camps, and parties. Snapology also provides interactive STEM/STEAM learning for scouting groups and helps scouts work toward badges, pins, and awards, with programs that can be adapted and customized to fit scout groups and accomplish desired goals or achieve scouting pins, badges, or awards.
Snapology describes its scout programs as “Top Rated Girl Scout and Scouts BSA Activities,” and explicitly lists Girl Scout STEM badge alignment for Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes. In these scout programs, a dedicated Snapologist is provided to teach students as they work in pairs to promote team building, and Snapology patches are available at an additional cost for scouts who complete programs.
Parent testimonials describe individual experiences with Snapology STEAM Programs. One parent, Faith Buffington, states, “My son goes to Snapology a few times a year, and he absolutely loves it! They work on the coolest projects, and he learns something new every time that inspires him with his Legos here at home.” Another parent, Kristin Mehr, shares, “Had a great experience at camp (age 4 - 6) in summer 2025. My son enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked a camp later that summer. Looking forward to camp again this year.” A third parent, Jessica Mahady, says, “Had a Snapology party for my 4 years old. He and his friends had a great time. The instructors were fabulous. They made it so easy ❤️.”
