About
Sanneh Free Community Camps offer free summer sports camps where kids take part in activities such as soccer, basketball, pickleball, golf, mountain bike camps, and pro sports camps. Camps use a sporting curriculum and are led by trained coaches and mentors. These free community camps are about more than sports and give kids new opportunities through the universal excitement for sport.
• Price: SANNEH’S FREE SUMMER CAMPS FOR KIDS give youth of all backgrounds the chance to play, learn, and grow in a fun, supportive environment.
The camps are part of The Sanneh Foundation, whose mission is to empower youth, improve lives, and unite communities. The Sanneh Foundation serves the holistic youth development needs of the increasingly diverse Twin Cities metro area and incorporates guidance and information about health, education, drugs and alcohol, and cultural awareness and sensitivity into its camps. Camps promote an atmosphere of community through the universal excitement for sport and use The Sanneh Foundation’s youth development expertise.
The Sanneh Foundation’s leadership team includes Founder and CEO Tony Sanneh; Executive VP of Strategic Initiatives Rassoul Dastmozd, PhD; VP of Programs Joanna Tzenis; VP of Compliance Oskar Munoz Marroquin; Director of Conway Community Center Crystal Flint; VP of Philanthropy Whitney Larson; and Director of Marketing and Events Brian Nosan. In 2010, Tony Sanneh retired from professional soccer and became full-time CEO of The Sanneh Foundation, and in 2013 the organization started running programming at Conway, beginning a legacy to build the dome, renovate fields, renovate the gym, and add the STEM lab. By 2019, The Sanneh Foundation reached 100 free sports camps during the summer, launched food distributions through its Nutritional Services program in 2020, and by 2025 had deepened its reach in the Twin Cities by expanding its flagship programs in education, mentorship, and sports-based life skills training.
