Boys & Girls Club of the Twin Cities

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities offers Academic Success, Health & Wellness, Life & Workforce, Literacy, Numeracy Enrichment, STEAM, STEAM Mentoring, The Arts, and Kids Feeding Kids. It also offers Career Launch and Money Matters for ages 13-18, and Passport to Manhood for ages 8-17.

Programs

• Academic Success — Assists young people to succeed in academics. Programs provide youth opportunities for career exploration, educational enhancement, and augmented learning in literacy, finance, arts, and technology.
• Health & Wellness — Develops young people’s capacity to live healthfully by educating youth about fitness, nutrition and smart decisions.
• Life & Workforce — Encourages youth to be engaged by providing character, leadership, and service learning opportunities to Club members.
• Literacy — Includes small group reading instruction and literacy enrichment stations to teach phonics, spelling, language structure, reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
• Numeracy Enrichment — K-5 program with hands-on, multisensory math stations centered on Minnesota Academic Standards in Mathematics.
• STEAM
• STEAM Mentoring — Hands-on STEAM activities with mentors, with a focus on conservation, visual and performing arts, and showcasing members’ abilities at art exhibits, talent shows, and performances at community events.
• Career Launch — 13-18 · A career exploration and mentoring program for teens ages 13-18.
• Money Matters — 13-18 · Financial literacy program designed specifically to help teens expand their knowledge of money management and learn skills that lead to financial independence and well-being.
• The Arts — Helps young people enhance self-expression and creativity, and develop skills in crafts, visual, performing and the literary arts.
• Kids Feeding Kids — Provides daily meals, cooking classes, and gardening opportunities through a unique program called Kids Feeding Kids.
• Passport to Manhood — 8-17 · Promotes and teaches responsibility to boys ages 8-17.
