Missoula Children’s Theatre offers King Arthur’s Quest, The Frog Prince, Disney’s Newsies Jr., Pure Imagination, Youth Shakespeare Trunk Show: The Tempest, Disney’s The Lion King KIDS, and Play in a Day. The program schedule says Day Camp is a week-long rehearsal process that ends with a production, and Production Classes include auditioning, casting, rehearsing, and performing in a show.

  • The Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Disney’s Newsies Jr. — Grades 8-12 · Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 4PM-6:30PM; M-F of the final week from 4PM-7PM; additional class on Saturday, October 24 · $295 · Classes: September 24-November 1, 2026. Performances on Friday, October 30 at 7PM; Saturday, October 31 at 2PM and 5PM; Sunday, November 1 at 2PM and 5PM.
  • Pure Imagination — Grades K-12 · Tuesdays- Fridays from 4PM-6:00PM; M-F of the final week from 4PM-6:30PM · $295

About the provider

Missoula Children’s Theatre was created in 1970 by co-founders Jim Caron and Don Collins. Its mission is empowering children and adults through theatre education and performance to develop lifelong skills while enriching communities worldwide through live productions. MCT visits nearly 1,100 communities around the world each year, including all 50 US states and 16 different countries, and the Red Truck Tour is recognized as the world’s largest touring children’s theatre of its kind.

Full refunds are given if a cancellation is made before the first day of class. Cancellations made on the first day of class are refunded in the form of an MCT gift card in the amount of tuition minus $75. No refunds are given after the first day of class concludes. MCT does cap the number of children involved in Day Camps based on a first-come, first-served basis. All children are welcome; inclusive casting policies are stated.
