The After School Programs offer reading tutoring, math tutoring, and general homework assistance for elementary school children. The afterschool tutoring program is designed to help elementary school children reach and/or maintain their reading level at grade level. Currently, the program only offers virtual tutoring through volunteer tutors, who provide one-on-one virtual tutoring to elementary school children, and tutors volunteer one hour a week or two.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh traces its history back to 1899 when a Catholic Orphanage was established in Raleigh. The mission of the organization is providing help to brothers and sisters in need by alleviating the effects of poverty and creating hope by developing solutions to transform lives. This program is done in partnership with St. Francis of Assisi Youth Ministry. The program needs tutors for reading and math, tutors do not need to be bilingual, and a background check is required for tutors.
