Manatee County Natural Resources organizes the VolunTeens and RIP Squad volunteer programs for habitat restoration and trail maintenance. VolunTeens is a volunteer opportunity designed specifically for teens ages 13–18 who want to give back to the environment and earn service hours. The VolunTeens Trail Clean-Up is recommended for ages 13–18, and the RIP Squad Trail Clearing & Invasive Plant Removal workday is suitable for ages 12 and older. During RIP Squad events, volunteers help improve trail access and restore native habitat through trail clearing and invasive plant removal.
