About
VolunTeens and RIP Squad Youth Environmental Volunteer Programs focus on hands-on work such as trail clean-up, trail clearing, and maintaining trails. Participants take part in invasive plant removal and help remove dead branches and debris as part of habitat restoration projects.
• Ages: 12–18 years old
• Schedule: VolunTeens Trail Clean-Up at Rye Wilderness Preserve runs 3:00pm–5:00pm on February 17, and RIP Squad Trail Clearing & Invasive Plant Removal at Robinson Preserve (south) runs 9:00am–10:00am on February 18.
VolunTeens is a volunteer opportunity designed specifically for teens ages 13–18 who want to give back to the environment and earn service hours. RIP Squad offers a hands-on volunteer workday focused on trail clearing and invasive plant removal. The programs are part of broader community involvement that includes Manatee County’s effort to revitalize a park at Martha B. King Middle School through a county–school district partnership.
