About
VolunTeens & RIP Squad Youth Environmental Volunteer Programs include trail clean-up, trail clearing, and invasive plant removal. During these activities, volunteers clean and maintain trails, remove dead branches, and remove debris and invasive plants to help improve trail access and restore native habitat.
• Ages: 12–18 years old
• Schedule: VolunTeens Trail Clean-Up at Rye Wilderness Preserve at Rye Preserve from 3:00pm–5:00pm on February 17; RIP Squad – Trail Clearing & Invasive Plant Removal at Robinson Preserve (south) from 9:00am–10:00am on February 18
VolunTeens is a volunteer opportunity designed specifically for teens ages 13–18 who want to give back to the environment and earn service hours. Program participation is recommended for ages 13–18 for VolunTeens Trail Clean-Up and is suitable for ages 12 and up for RIP Squad – Trail Clearing & Invasive Plant Removal. RIP Squad events are hands-on volunteer workdays focused on trail clearing and invasive plant removal.
