Salem Child Development Center offers early childhood education along with before and after school care. The program uses The Creative Curriculum and STEM with all age groups it serves. Salem Child Development Center states a mission to provide safe, high quality, educational child care environments for children and their families through developmentally appropriate curriculum, experienced and professional staff, and an inclusive, nurturing learning experience where families are welcome. The program reports serving more than 1,400 children in the Willamette Valley and operating over 20 locations in the Salem area. It works to develop a one-to-one relationship with each child and parent and has a goal of providing parents with open, welcoming atmospheres to encourage and promote parent involvement and peace of mind.
The center offers experienced and professional staff. It accepts all children who are able to function within staff ratios and within the environments it maintains. Salem Child Development Center maintains a non-sexist, non-racist setting for children’s learning and has a policy that no person shall be discriminated against by reason of race, color, religion, disability, sex, age, or national origin.
The program seeks to extend the children’s environment beyond the classroom and into the community. It states a commitment to advocating for all children and reaching out into the community and the state to advocate for high quality care for all families.
