City Dance Theatre

City Dance Theatre offers dance classes led by a highly qualified professional faculty. Dancers of all ages and abilities are welcome at City Dance Theatre. The program is celebrating 30 years of dance education in Salem, Oregon.

Since its inception in 1996, City Dance Theatre's goal has been to provide superior dance technique training by a highly qualified professional faculty. The program strives to develop students into well trained, dedicated and committed dancers with a passion for the art form. City Dance Theatre provides a nurturing faculty and environment where creativity can flourish and students learn the value of dedication and commitment. It is the philosophy of City Dance Theatre that being involved in dance helps round out the total educational experience offered by school, parents and community. With an emphasis on strong foundation and technique, each student is offered the opportunity to gain appreciation, fulfillment and self reward through the dance classes offered.

Former students have pursued careers in dance and are now dancing on Broadway, teaching in studios and colleges, dancing for professional sports teams, and have danced for esteemed ballet companies. Many former students have pursued a college degree in dance. The program is held in a 7,000 square foot space with sprung floors, high ceilings, a homework area, a spacious waiting room, and Wi-Fi.
