It is described as a progressive music school that features group rehearsals, individual lessons, and live performances at world-famous music venues. Students can learn the ins and outs of the music industry while working on original songwriting, recording, production, and engineering. Parent and student testimonials describe experiences such as a child returning home “fulfilled, happy, and peaceful” after evenings at Lakehouse Music Academy, and a core program that “got me out of my shell and pushed me to sing on stage.” One testimonial notes that many kids who enter timid and nervous about performing on stage “end up blossoming during their time at the school and end up playing as well as professional musicians.” Another parent reports that a daughter in private piano lessons learned to read music notes, is learning rhythms, and can play a few songs after a few months. Additional comments describe Lakehouse as a place where “everyone knows your name,” where students are “from the very first lesson… part of a band and learning together,” and where they “get to play on same stages as your favorite bands.”
