Shemesh Day Camp includes activities such as exclusive activities, Top-Secret workshops, late nights, the Shemesh Carnival, extra trips, special swag, leagues, upscale trips, runaways, talent workshops, Sup Specials, exciting Nesher Leagues, trips, workshops, daily breakouts, fantastic shows and activities, a water park, and weekly TOP SECRET SPECIALS.
• Ages: 3–10 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday with regular hours and a shorter Friday schedule, offered in first-half, second-half, or full-summer options
• Price: KOLLEL/BMG discounts available; Shemesh pricing will not be going up for the 2026 season, and Shemesh has decided to keep 2025 prices for the coming summer.
Shemesh Day Camp offers a Junior Division for girls and boys age 3 to 5, a Seniors Division for girls entering first through third grade, an Exclusive Senior Tops Program for girls entering third grade, and a NESHER program for girls entering 4th and 5th grade. Juniors, Seniors, and the Tops Program are run separately, with younger campers in a junior tailored experience. The camp uses online registration for a hassle-free application process.
The camp’s vision is to provide children with a top quality summer experience while continuing to hold on to the Trademark Shemesh Spirit. The Director is Tzipra Eger, and the counselors are carefully screened and handpicked for their dedication and experience, with directors who are involved hands on with children. As the camp continues to serve the community in and around Lakewood, it maintains a full time security guard for added safety on the grounds.
Shemesh Day Camp began 18 years ago in a small backyard in Lakewood, NJ, moved to a small school building in 2011, and in 2015 began renting its current spacious building. Parent feedback includes comments describing daughters enjoying every minute, activities being perfect for their age, campers singing camp songs non-stop, parents feeling thrilled with the camp’s production, children being excited to go every day, and parents thanking the camp for management, hiring, planning, coordinating, scheduling, arranging, personal connection, and warmth with every camper, as well as describing it as the happiest summer a daughter had in years.
