Genius Gems centers many of its activities around magnetic tiles, with over 100,000 magnetic tiles available for hands-on building. The program also features a Design Bar where participants can get creative, and it offers parties on weekends and parties for adults after dark.

In 2013, the idea for Genius Gems was born, and its second, flagship location launched in NYC in 2023. The founder and leader of Genius Gems is Jennifer Romanoff, Ed.M.
