About

The DRI STEM Education Program offers inquiry-based STEM curriculum through Green Boxes, educator professional development trainings, college internships, workforce development opportunities, and all-ages outreach programs. Green Boxes are self-contained teaching kits with two or more weeks of STEM lesson plans and the supplies needed for each activity. The program also includes Virtual STEM Learning Resources, the STEM Co-Lab Lending Library, STEM Force, and EnergySmart Education.

  • EnergySmart Education — K-12 students · Outreach programs to K-12 schools throughout Nevada to teach and promote energy consumption awareness and energy conservation.

About the provider

The mission of DRI’s STEM Education Program is to support PreK-12 educators in research-based STEM education by providing the tools, resources, and knowledge they need, so all students acquire the knowledge and skills needed to work, live and contribute in their community. Its community involvement includes experiential learning opportunities that support pathways to the STEM knowledge economy and workforce, all-ages outreach programs, and outreach that reaches urban, rural, and tribal communities across Nevada.
