About
Beacon Performing Arts Center offers musical theatre productions along with acting, improv, music, dance, art, and toddler classes. The program also runs summer camps in all areas of performing, musical theatre workshops, and a showcase. Students may take part in a musical theatre intensive in New York City, view a Broadway show, participate in the Junior Theatre Festival, present a 15 minute cut of a Junior Musical, and play acting games.

Beacon Performing Arts Center is a non-profit 501(c)3 educational theatre company in Beacon, NY, led by professional theatre artists who focus on storytelling with children of all ages. The Creative Team is made up of professional actors, directors, choreographers, and music directors. BPAC offers fully staged productions designed solely with each child in mind, and each age group (Kids, Youth, Teen) has two shows each year. BPAC offers classes and workshops in multiple performing arts disciplines plus art, including toddler classes and camps in all areas of performing for all ages, with camps open to children brand new to performing and to seasoned performers.
BPAC Company is for students in 9th–12th grades on the professional performance track in terms of both talent and character, and Junior Company is for students in 4th–8th grades on the same track. BPAC Company members travel to New York City October 3–4, 2026, for an exclusive and intimate musical theatre intensive led by members of the Broadway community. Junior Company members travel to Atlanta to participate in the Junior Theatre Festival, where they represent BPAC on a national level and present a 15 minute cut of a Junior Musical. BPAC Company and Junior Company programs travel to either New York City or the Junior Theatre Festival to deepen students’ knowledge and love of theatre.
Beacon Performing Arts Center and its related organization, Beacon Performing Arts Center Ltd., are NY state non-profit 501(c)3 organizations. BPAC Company’s past years include 2024–2025: JTF Sacramento – All Festival Performance Group, and 2025–2026: JTF Atlanta – Excellence in Dance. The Junior Company’s past years include 2025–2026: Inaugural Junior Company. BPAC Company and Junior Company were established in 2024.
Beacon Performing Arts Center states that, whether in the classroom or on the stage, it fosters self confidence, creativity, expression, boldness, imagination, team-work, and fun. One parent describes BPAC as a place they chose for its reputation of doing very professional shows and notes that they return because of the environment created by Kate and Jake, describing them as theater educators who lead with respect and love for each child, and stating that the staff creates a consistently safe, supportive, encouraging, and validating place to be.
