Since 2000, Oasis Day Camps has operated as a summer day camp program in the metropolitan New York City area, growing from an initial group of 50 campers in Central Park to multiple locations serving over 1000 campers each year. The program describes its mission as helping campers grow in three pillars: self, others, and world, including celebrating individuality, building confidence, cultivating respect, empathy, collaboration, and engaging with local and global communities. Its stated focus includes trying new interests, exploring self-identity, collaborating with the local community, and learning about the world.

The program describes its leaders and staff as education and youth development professionals, including many with decades of experience as tenured teachers, administrators, or specialized support professionals. Staff at all levels receive ongoing training and vetting, and all staff members undergo pool safety, water safety, and first aid training, with first aid and CPR training also provided. Every location has either an EMT or a registered nurse onsite. Oasis Day Camps notes that it is allergy-friendly, provides nutritious and kid-friendly nut-free snacks, and that campers who bring nuts in their own lunches or snacks sit in a designated area for allergens like nuts. The camp highlights complementary extended drop-off and pick-up, healthy lunch and snacks included with tuition, swimming and swim instruction throughout the week, and access to a variety of local excursions, and it describes itself as a premier day camp offering a screen-free way to explore identity, connect with the community, and get curious about the world.
