Nassau County Police Activity League (NCPAL) Youth Programs offers sports, crafts, educational, and other programs of both team and individual types for boys and girls in Nassau County. The programs are run through multiple NCPAL units, including the NCPAL HQ Activities, NCPAL Dek Hockey Unit, and NCPAL Special Needs Unit.
NCPAL has been serving the youth of Nassau County for more than 8 decades. Its mission is to operate youth clubs and provide sports, crafts, educational and other programs of a team and individual nature for all boys and girls in Nassau County regardless of race, religion, income or disability, with activities intended to prevent juvenile delinquency, steer children clear from gang activity, and aid in the positive interaction of police officers and youth. NCPAL has successfully facilitated police officer, community, and youth interaction and involvement for over 82 years. The program offers over 40 activities, programs, and sports in 31 units, with more than 20,000 participants each year across these 31 units in Nassau County. NCPAL has the largest Special Needs Unit in the nation.
