Nassau County Police Activity League (NCPAL) Youth Programs offers more than 40 activities, programs, and sports through its 31 units across Nassau County. The programs include a Special Needs Unit, dek hockey, lacrosse, and other youth activities run under different NCPAL units. NCPAL serves over 20,000 participants in its programs each year.

NCPAL has been serving the youth of Nassau County for more than eight decades. Its mission is to operate youth clubs and provide sports, crafts, educational and other programs of a team and individual nature for all boys and girls in Nassau County regardless of race, religion, income, or disability. The stated intent of these activities is to prevent juvenile delinquency, steer children clear from gang activity, and aid in the positive interaction of police officers and youth. NCPAL has successfully facilitated police officer, community, and youth interaction and involvement for over 82 years. NCPAL has the largest Special Needs Unit in the nation.
