YMCA of Long Island Swim Lessons are part of the YMCA of Long Island, which offers swimming along with other activities such as exercise, sports, games, and summer learning. Families using the program have access to related offerings that include fitness classes, social opportunities, arts and crafts, STEM activities, special theme activities, and trips.

• Schedule: Huntington YMCA operating hours Monday–Friday 5:00am–9:00pm, Saturday 6:00am–6:00pm, Sunday 6:00am–5:00pm
• Price: Student Special: $125 with $0 Joiner Fee, expiring September 1, 2026
The YMCA of Long Island is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Huntington YMCA has been serving children, teens, families, and seniors for more than 50 years, and the YMCA states that it has 175 years of keeping families, children, teens, adults, and communities safe in and around the water. The YMCA of Long Island also focuses on emotional wellness through YMCA Family Services, which offers individual counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention services, drug screenings, family therapy, women-only group counseling sessions, a DWI track for first offenders, positive alternative activities, and stress and anger management programs. Child Watch connected to the YMCA has staff who are CPR and First Aid certified.
The YMCA of Long Island partners with school districts in Nassau and Suffolk counties to support student learning and runs the YMCA of Long Island 5K Series presented by Amazon. Healthy Kids Day is sponsored by Peanuts and Gatorade, and the YMCA of Long Island works with Northwell Huntington Hospital for a session on Healthy Weight Solutions. YMCA Family Services also provides speakers for schools, community agencies, church groups, and other interested community organizations through its Speaker’s Bureau. Families can connect with the YMCA through the YMCA Daxko Mobile App and the YMCA360 on-demand digital platform, which includes access to select Les Mills workouts. Financial assistance is available for those who may not be able to afford the full cost of programs and services.
