The programs also offer drum circles, drumming events and trainings, rhythm wellness programs, meditation programs, Creative Self Care programs, annual teen retreats, Art in Nature events and camps, and virtual Zoom Studio interactive painting and drawing classes.

• Schedule: Teen and tween painting and drawing class options are available on weekday afternoons, with additional private lesson times on select weekdays.
• Price: Creative events space rental or facilitated programs starting at $500.

The programs are part of a broader arts and wellness community center that offers painting classes, drawing classes, social painting classes, arts and healing retreats, traveling arts programs for hire, and Creative Self Care programs. The leadership team includes Founder and Executive Director Sandra Sabene, an award-winning, third-generation professional artist and teaching artist for over two decades; Creative Rhythms Facilitator and Teaching Assistant Daniel Sabene; instructor Pam Mead, who teaches youth art classes, camps, the Dooley ArtZ program, and a monthly card making class; and Nicole Bowker, LCSW, who provides mental health support and teaches youth art programs. Artistic Innovations Visual Arts Community Center LLC was established in 2002, drumming was added in 2005, Creative Café classes began in 2009, the Creative Rhythms series launched in 2018, facilitator training began in 2019, and Liverpool Art Center moved to its current studio space in January 2021.

Programs for hire have been offered across the East Coast, both virtual and in-person, in partnership with alternative schools, mental healthcare centers and intensive outreach programs, hospitals and staff self care events, college student self care events, and recovery from substance use disorder programs. The studio also hosts monthly drumming for wellness and community building and offers community drum circles. Testimonials from participants describe the space as calming, the atmosphere as relaxed and welcoming, and the staff as helpful and guiding during painting classes and group events.
