About
Basketball City Youth Programs offers youth leagues, youth clinics, summer camps, school break camps, and private training sessions. The program also runs special sessions such as the NBPA Summer Camp, Jr. Knicks x Basketball City Camp, Jr. Knicks x Basketball City President’s Day Clinic, and the Jr. Knicks x Basketball City Winter Camp Series. Birthday Parties are available through the program as well.
• Schedule: Hourly group rentals are available Monday–Thursday evenings, 5 PM–10 PM.
Basketball City Youth Programs is part of a larger operation that includes adult corporate leagues, court rentals, private rentals, and team building events. The facility hosts tournaments and physical education classes, including the New York Foundling Developmentally Disabled Basketball Tournament and the Dan Washington Jr. memorial basketball tournament. It also supports events such as art shows, fashion shows, expos, nonprofit fundraisers, tech conferences, product launches, and a program called Pickleball City.
Since its inception, Basketball City has stated that it has been proud to serve the community and provide opportunities and experiences for thousands of kids. As Basketball City celebrated its 22nd anniversary in September, its contributions to the community totaled over $1.1 million in 2019 and over $3 million over the past 3 years. Over the past 3 years, Basketball City has donated an average of 1300 court hours annually to local schools and youth organizations for practices, games, tournaments, and physical education classes, and has contributed over 500 scholarships annually to local residents for summer camps and youth programs. It has made donations to NYPD Night Out Against Crime, NYPD Annual Toy Drive, Henry Street Settlement, 9/11 Day of Service, Positive Coaching Alliance, and others, and has replaced five backboards and baskets for Shuang Wen School (PS 184). Basketball City has provided reduced fees and discounts to a variety of non-profit organizations to host events, helping to raise over $40 million for numerous causes since inception. Basketball City and MADE Hoops will bring elite basketball opportunities to New York City on April 25–26 and July 27–30.
