NYC FIRST

NYC FIRST offers FIRST LEGO League Challenge for ages 8 through 14, with hands-on STEM exploration and theme-based challenges that involve research, problem solving, coding, and engineering. It also offers FIRST Tech Challenge for grades 7-12, where teams design, build, program, and operate robots in head-to-head challenges, and FIRST Robotics Competition, a team-based robotics competition for teens.

About the provider

Since 2000, NYC FIRST has increased access to joyful STEM education in New York City through citywide robotics competitions and its STEM Centers. NYC FIRST says it inspires and empowers students from diverse communities across New York City to engage with STEM and robotics in meaningful and joyful ways, and it has two STEM Centers open to students, coaches, mentors, and the entire FIRST community.
