About
Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp includes a wide range of activities such as swim instruction, basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis, flag football, GaGa ball, and martial arts. Campers also take part in creative writing, improv, film, storytime, music, yoga, arts and crafts, dance, theater, and STEM robotics. Campers follow a set schedule of activities throughout the day with periods that are approximately 40 minutes long.

Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp is for kids of all abilities. The camp’s core values are Community, Kindness, Independence, Energy, Respect, and Confidence, and each week focuses on one specific camp value, with all of the principles brought together during the final week of camp. Asphalt Green campers build character, confidence, and community with their peers in a dynamic, inclusive, and fun environment. Pee-Wee Camp is for children entering kindergarten and 1st grade in the fall, Junior Camp is for children entering grades 2–3, Senior Camp is for children entering grades 4–8, and the Leadership-in-Training Program is for teenagers entering grades 9–11 in the fall. All Senior Camp age groups (rising 4th–8th graders) at the Upper East Side campus are currently on waitlist for Summer 2026.
Each period is run by a coach or a specialist who has extensive experience in their particular activity. Lunch is provided for campers every day except for field trip days, and campers must bring their own nut-free lunch on field trip day. Child-friendly lunches are served daily with vegetables and fruit, and salad, sandwiches, and plain pasta are available daily as an alternative to the main meal. Snacks are provided twice a day. Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp keeps kids active, learning, and moving throughout the year.
Asphalt Green is a nonprofit organization that transforms lives and builds community through sports, fitness, and play for all. Since 1972, Asphalt Green has expanded its locations, programs, and offerings throughout the city. Asphalt Green’s Community Soccer League and Community Flag Football League expand access to organized sports by bringing free and low-cost soccer and flag football programming to public and charter schools.
