Year-Round Youth Programs includes before-school programs, after-school programs, summer camp, teen council, and enrichment programs. The program is also connected to several community events, including COMMUNITY COOKING, PRIDE SUNDAY FAMILY FUN DAY, MONSTER MASH, LEGACY GALA, and MUSIC & READINGS IN A HOLIDAY SPIRIT.
• Schedule: The Nyack Center office is open Monday through Friday, from 10 am - 5:30 pm.
Founded in 1990, Nyack Center reaches over 2,000 people each year by providing programs, facilities, and opportunities for service. The mission of the Nyack Center is to create connections across social, cultural and economic boundaries, and to improve the lives of all in Nyack and the larger community of Rockland County. Nyack Center is dedicated to antiracist action and committed to work to dismantle all forms of oppression, and it learns and grows through differences in seeking a more compassionate society. Nyack Center relies on volunteers, partners, and donors to serve the community, and proceeds from the Community Cooking event support Nyack Center’s mission. Community Cooking is described as a cherished annual event where professional and amateur community members cook for community, and it is described as Nyack Center’s most delicious event. Many in the community are affected by the economy, and people can help by donating funds, eggs, cooking oil, butter, and shelf stable milk to Nyack Center. Donations of money and items at People to People directly support children at Nyack Center, and donations of money to Soup Angels directly support Nyack Center’s families and community.
