About

Nyack Center Youth Programs offers year-round youth programs that include before-school programs, after-school programs, and a summer camp. The program also runs enrichment programs, a teen council, and a Health & Wellness program. Throughout the year, participants can take part in events such as Community Cooking, Pride Sunday Family Fun Day, Monster Mash, Music & Readings in a Holiday Spirit, and the Legacy Gala.

• Schedule: The Nyack Center office is open Monday through Friday, from 10 am - 5:30 pm, and office and school-based programs follow the Nyack Public School Calendar.

Founded in 1990, Nyack Center Youth Programs includes annual events such as a Black History Month Celebration with the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratory Contest held in two phases, a Cultural Bazaar, and the Women of Leadership & Vision brunch. The mission of the Nyack Center is to create connections across social, cultural and economic boundaries, and to improve the lives of all in Nyack and the larger community of Rockland County, with a stated dedication to antiracist action and to dismantling all forms of oppression. The Nyack Center reaches over 2,000 people each year by providing programs, facilities, and opportunities for service, and it relies on volunteers, partners, and donors, including donations of funds, eggs, cooking oil, butter, and shelf stable milk. Donations to People to People directly support children at Nyack Center, and donations to Soup Angels directly support Nyack Center families and community. The Nyack Center also provides space for others with similar goals and offers ways to get involved as a volunteer, donor, sponsor, or by renting space. The Health & Wellness program has received a $40,000 donation along with an additional $10,000 dollar-for-dollar match offer.
