About
Camp Hollis offers both a day camp program and a full-week residential camp experience. Day campers take part in the same day programs offered to resident campers and have lunch with the rest of camp. Camp Hollis’ main focus is providing a summer camp experience to youth ages 6–14.
• Ages: 6–14 years old
• Schedule: Day camp for ages 6–12 is offered Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m., during all weeks that resident camp is in session, with optional extended care from 8–9 a.m. and/or 4–5 p.m.
Camp Hollis has been Oswego County’s children’s camp since 1946 and is owned by Oswego County and operated by the Oswego County Youth Bureau, a division of Parks and Recreation. The Executive Director of the Oswego County Youth Bureau is Brian Chetney. Camp Hollis serves thousands of county residents each year through the many programs offered there. When the summer camp program is not in session, Camp Hollis is available to organized groups and families and serves as a location for weddings, retreats, reunions, and school groups to run outdoor education and environmental study programs. The mission of the Oswego County Youth Bureau includes contributing to a collaborative network of programs and services, coordinating county-wide youth and family services planning, providing direct and indirect services and activities for youth and families, improving the quality of life for individuals, families, and the community, and empowering youth to become responsible members of society.
