Camp East Woods

Camp East Woods offers activities including archery, soccer, baseball, softball, swimming, dance, art, woodworking, and cooking. Campers take part in both character-based and skill-based experiences that include these activities. Outdoor activities across the campus are balanced with programs held inside the historic East Woods School building.

• Ages: 2–13 years old

Each camp group at Camp East Woods is led by a Lead Teacher who is a professional educator or teaching assistant during the school year, or a college graduate pursuing a master’s degree in education or a related field. The Lower Camp has a camper-to-counselor ratio of 1:4, and the Upper Camp has a camper-to-counselor ratio of 1:6. Every counselor knows every camper by name. The camp’s mission states that it provides a joyful and inclusive summer experience for children, blending a close-knit community with hands-on, engaging activities, and that its staff is led by experienced educators and compassionate counselors who inspire personal growth, boost self-esteem, and promote core values while fostering connection, confidence, and fun.
