Not Just Art offers Music Together classes, art classes, science classes, and a drop-in art studio, along with seasonal workshops, school vacation programs, holiday programs, and summer mini camps. The program also offers parent/child (Mommy & Me) classes, separation classes, preschool enrichment, preK and elementary after school programs, birthday parties, play dates, custom events, family activities, scout troop badge activities, and offsite events for schools and special groups.
• Ages: Birth–10 years old
• Schedule: Summer 2026 schedule is available; the spring session begins Monday, April 13; Saturday, May 23 classes will meet; the program will be closed Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.
Not Just Art is a children's creative enrichment center for children birth through ten years old and their families. The program offers art programs that include both drop-off and “with adult” options, as well as small parties at the Not Just Art studio. Music Together classes are offered during the school year in Oyster Bay, Garden City, Huntington, and West Islip, with summer Music Together classes in Oyster Bay, Garden City, and West Islip. The program offers a flexible calendar of music, art, and science classes and activities for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary age kids. The environment and approach accommodate a wide range of ages, interests, and abilities, and many children with special needs can be seamlessly included. Therapists of various types regularly recommend the program to their clients. The program features respectful, nurturing teachers, cozy class sizes, exploratory curricula, and developmentally appropriate activities.
Not Just Art also includes a specialty toy store and creative supplies for curious minds, with an eclectic collection of high quality art supplies and kits, musical toys and instruments, science supplies and kits, construction toys, games, infant toys, and more. Many store items are featured in “best of” parent lists and in teacher resource catalogs for those working with special needs children, and many items are used in Montessori-based and/or Waldorf programs. Many items are tested in the Not Just Art classrooms and approved by children, parents, and teaching staff.
