Youth Marine Education & Sailing Programs includes activities such as Winter Break Marine Explorers, Spring Break Marine Explorers, Spring Youth Sailing, Junior Summer Camp & Programs, Winter Field Trips, Frostbiting Sails, Spring Marine Education, Spring Sailing, and Summer Camps & Youth Sailing. The program also offers paddleboard, kayak, and sailboat rentals, as well as harbor tours aboard the oyster sloop CHRISTEEN and floating classroom experiences aboard IDA MAY.

• Schedule: Winter office hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, and the program is closed on weekends and major holidays. Seasonal operating hours run from Memorial Day through October 12, with the possibility of an extended season depending on weather.

The program is part of The WaterFront Center, which has been connecting people to the water through education and recreation for over 25 years and offers marine education along with recreational and instructional sailing programs. Its mission is to connect people to the water through education and recreation. Harbor tours take place aboard CHRISTEEN, which is a National Historic Landmark, and IDA MAY serves as a floating classroom offering hands-on educational experiences. The organization states a commitment to affordable and free programming to ensure access regardless of age, ability, or financial background.

The leadership team includes Elisa M. Santoro (President), Henriette Rohl (Vice President), Howard Szarfarc (Treasurer), Jamie Deming (Secretary), George J. Ellis (Executive Director), Cameron Jenness (Education Director), Jamé Krauter (Director of Marketing and Engagement), Katie Murcott (Programs Manager), Alexis Pramberger (Donor Relations Coordinator), and Jonathan Zaskorski (Director of Waterfront Operations). Education Director Cameron Jenness holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from the University of Maine, is a US Sailing REACH coordinator, a Boy Scouts of America Merit Badge Counselor, and is First Aid/CPR certified. Community partners include organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club of Oyster Bay - East Norwich, Friends of The Bay, North Shore Land Alliance, Oakcliff Sailing, Oyster Bay Sailing Foundation, Sagamore Yacht Club, Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club, Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center, US Sailing, and others. Check-in at The WaterFront Center is required before going to the docks.
