Brighton Rowing Club offers Summer Camps, Learn to Row Camps, Varsity, Novice, and Modified. Learn to Row Camps are geared toward those who do not have rowing experience and meet Monday-Friday, 9:00-11:15am. Varsity, Novice, and Modified are fall programs with practices on Monday-Friday, 3:45-6:00pm, or Tuesday and Thursday, 5:45-7:15pm.

- Summer Camps
- Learn to Row Camps — Geared towards those who do not have rowing experience. · Mon-Fri, 9:00-11:15am · $175 per session · Session 2 starts 2026-08-31 and ends 2026-09-04.
- Varsity — Open to high school students who have completed one to two competitive seasons as a Novice. · Monday-Friday, 3:45-6:00pm · $995 · Fall 2026 runs August 31-November 3. Practices start in mid-August. The focus for the Fall season is conditioning, technique, and preparing for head races.
- Novice — Grades 7 or 8. · Monday-Friday, 3:45-6:00pm · $875 · Fall 2026 runs August 31-November 3. The focus for this season is learning about equipment, water safety, the rowing stroke, conditioning, and building a team.
- Modified — Grades 7 or 8. · Tuesday and Thursday, 5:45-7:15pm · $325 · Fall 2026 runs September 15-November 1. Practices on the water begin in early May and continue until Memorial Day Weekend, weather depending.

- General schedule: Summer camps starting in June through August. Fall and spring regattas are described for Varsity and Novice. Winter conditioning is described as cross training, technique, rowing at a faster rate, and preparing for sprint races.
About the provider
Brighton Rowing Club was founded in 1998. It serves eligible 7-12 grade students from Brighton and other neighboring communities in the Rochester, NY area without rowing programs of their own. It is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization led by volunteers, and coaches are the only paid staff.
No prior rowing experience is required for Brighton Crew. Participation in a Learn to Row program is not required. Brighton Rowing Club is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization led by volunteers and is not a school-funded sport; there is a fee for each season and for each regatta. Coaches are the only paid staff. All rowers must complete the US Rowing Membership and Waiver. Rowers and parents must review the BRC code of conduct prior to the first practice. There is a $100 fundraising expectation with a buy-out option to be fulfilled by the end of the season to support equipment.
