Still Mind Martial Arts Westchester NY has roots in martial arts training dating back to 1972 and has been in Westchester for adults since 2003 and for kids since 2004. The dojo traces its training system directly to the founder’s system of both empty hand and weapons, and uses play as a developmentally appropriate method of learning in Aikido for children, as is traditional in Japan. The program is operated by Integrated Peace Arts, a Westchester-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, and states that martial arts should not be taught for the purpose of profits, with money serving to keep the doors open while students pay with their time and efforts. Since 2003, it has been servicing the Westchester community with martial arts training methods in its styles, and it accepts Premium Active & Fit, Active & Fit Direct, and Silver & Fit. The dojo policy states that with any communicable illness, students should stay home.
