WRT Summer PlayPlace

WRT Summer PlayPlace includes natural play, group play, individual play, teamwork, and cooperative play. The program uses three playgrounds called The Gan, Tour of Israel, and Shalom Chaverim, which are designed for the natural curiosity of science and gross motor skills.

• Ages: 2–3 years old

Each camp group at WRT Summer PlayPlace is led by experienced preschool teachers. The staff and program leadership include Camp Coordinator Ellen Rosenberg, Early Childhood Center Director Rebecca Roseman, and Early Childhood Center Assistant Director Jen Brauntuch. The program’s mission states that natural play is one of the joys of childhood and that, at Westchester Reform Temple, children make friends, build skills, and have fun in a vibrant community infused with Jewish values, where pre-schoolers are encouraged to explore and expand boundaries through group and individual play, and where teamwork and cooperative play are integral to the camp program. One parent shared that WRT is teaching their son and instilling Jewish values in a way that makes him excited to attend, and that he looks forward to seeing his warm, friendly, and engaging teachers and his friends, who have become extended family.
