River Friends at the Shames JCC on the Hudson includes a new playground, a field for running, a wooded area for nature exploration, a garden with fresh fruits and vegetables, a water slide and splash pad, scooters on the blacktop, and activities such as karate, yoga, and sports. The 2026 Camp Dates run from June 29 to August 20, and families may register for 2 to 8 weeks; the camp is closed Friday, July 3. Offerings include Tuesday/Wednesday 9:15 am-12:15 pm for age 2, Monday-Friday 9:15 am-12:15 pm for age 2, Monday-Friday 9:00 am-1:00 pm for age 3, and Monday-Friday 9:00 am-3:00 pm for ages 3-6.

Allie Scherich is the Camp Director. Early arrival is available for ages 3 and up from 8:00-9:00 am, and late stay is available for ages 3 and up from 3:00-6:00 pm.
