Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area Youth Programs include after-school programs, summer camp, teen programs, sports, a game room, music, art classes, science experiments, individual tutoring, daily homework help, and Universal Pre-Kindergarten classes. The program also offers BGCCA Universal Pre-Kindergarten in select Albany County schools and is one of the only Clubs in the country to offer independent UPK programming. More than 1,000 youth in Albany and Rensselaer counties attend Club services, and the licensed kitchen feeds more than 200,000 youth annually, including through Club operations and other community youth organizations.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area Youth Programs are part of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area (BGCCA), a 501c3 non-profit organization. BGCCA holds a Platinum standard from Candid and a Four-Stars rating from Charity Navigator. The mission of BGCCA is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany and Troy Boys & Girls Club merged in 2019 to become Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area, and both organizations have been serving their respective communities since the turn of the last century. Since 2014, BGCCA (formerly Troy Boys & Girls Club) has operated a licensed kitchen, and since 1998, BGCCA (formerly Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany) has operated Universal Pre-Kindergarten classes in partnership with the Albany School District. BGCCA workforce development programs provide structured support to help teens in Albany and Rensselaer counties and are supported with funding from Rensselaer County, the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, and community support including local unions and partner organizations. The leadership team includes a Regional Director of Teen Programs, David Gordon.
