The Hope 7 Youth Program runs as an after-school program that offers care from after school until 5:30 pm. Children in the program must be picked up before 6:00 pm. The program also follows a regular weekly and monthly schedule with morning and evening hours.
• Schedule: After-school care until 5:30 pm with pickup required before 6:00 pm; regular hours Monday–Friday from 9:30 am to 11:45 am, additional Thursday evening hours from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and the last Saturday of each month from 9:30 am to 11:45 am.
The Hope 7 Community Center, which runs the program, was established in 1968 as the East Side Neighborhood Recreation Center, Inc. by community members who saw a need for recreational programs for youth in Troy’s East Side. Over time, the center added a food pantry, summer camp, after-school program, and various community events. One parent described Hope 7 by saying, “Hope 7 has been a life saver for my family and I. As a single, hardworking mom, I could never repay them for the love they show my family - not just during the holidays but everyday. The staff and volunteers here are truly a blessing.”
