Trillium Schools of Music (Fairlawn and Hudson) offers customized private and group music lessons, including voice, band and orchestra instruments, piano, drums and percussion, guitar, bass, cello, ukulele, brass, woodwinds, and strings. The program is performance-based and performance-oriented, with award-winning music education in Fairlawn and a family-like atmosphere.

The Fairlawn School of Music opened in the spring of 2011 and is described as a leader in private music instruction with two locations in Fairlawn and Hudson as part of the Trillium Schools of Music family. Teachers are all degreed musicians, including nationally-known performers, college-level instructors, and members of ensembles such as the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra and Akron Symphony Orchestra. The mission of Trillium Schools of Music states that it is a performance-based school that believes performances foster confidence and teach creativity in students of all ages, and that its musical educators believe in meeting students where they are in their musical journeys and are committed to seeing students improve to the highest level of their abilities. Teachers support local non-profit organizations, including the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, GriefCare Place, and The Akron Dog Park.
