Franklin Park Conservatory Youth & Family Programs include exhibitions such as Blooms & Butterflies, Color, Fly, Butterfly, Paul Busse Garden Railway, and Through The Vines: A Seasonal Journey. Families can take part in activities like Story Time, Spring Flowers Walk & Talk, May Member Walk, Homeschool Day: Amazing Adaptations, and the Farmers Market. The organization states its mission as: “As a premier botanical garden destination, we connect people to nature and create life-enhancing experiences.” The leadership team includes President & CEO Bruce Harkey, along with vice presidents and directors overseeing planning, event sales and facilities, horticulture and exhibitions, marketing and communications, community outreach and education, human resources, visitor experience, philanthropy, and finance. The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company Community Garden Campus includes an apiary, rose pavilion, berry house, 40 community garden plots, a demonstration kitchen, and a Live-Fire Cooking Theater, and is open to the public at no charge from dawn until dusk. The Conservatory notes that its Know Before You Go information provides tips on what to bring, what to see and do, and how to view current closures before arrival.
