Camp Fire Sandusky County

Camp Fire Sandusky County offers homework support, outdoor activities, outdoor exploration, and outdoor adventures. The program includes hands-on learning and hands-on activities, along with creative projects. Participants also take part in leadership opportunities and activities that include STEM and environmental skills, as well as STEM and arts activities.

• Ages: 6–11 years old
• Schedule: Office hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, closed from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for lunch

Camp Fire Sandusky County offers inclusive programs for youth and teens and provides Before & After School Care, Homeschool outdoor education programs, Summer camps at two different types of camp settings, and School’s Out Camps (SOCI) for children ages 6–11 during school breaks. Many youth attend with financial assistance. The organization’s mission states that it creates inclusive programs for youth and teens that use outdoor exploration, hands-on learning, leadership opportunities, and meaningful connections to build confidence, character, and community, based on the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive. Camp Fire Sandusky County notes “100 Summers in the Making!” and is proud to be sponsored in part by United Way Sandusky County. Families and community members can also engage through event hosting, sponsoring a camp or field trip, volunteering, becoming a business partner, renting property in Fremont, and purchasing new merchandise where a portion of each purchase supports youth programs and outdoor adventures.
