About

Camp Invention is a weeklong STEM experience that features fun, hands-on STEM adventures and hands-on challenges built around open-ended adventures. Campers miniaturize top-secret innovations, safeguard their designs using cryptography, protect their intellectual property and time travel to ensure their ideas are patented and protected. They also investigate a series of mischievous pranks, create sleuthing gadgets, collect bits of fluffy fur, reveal a trail of animal tracks, examine suspicious splatters and forensically analyze the evidence. Additional activities include diving into hands-on buoyancy experiments, paddling through salty challenges, sketching, designing and building prototypes, creating an innovative billboard boat, building a DIY rocket, launching a mission to transform a faraway planet’s atmosphere, terrain and ecosystem, racing a Rover to collect important data and samples, designing and building inventions for navigating intense planetary conditions, hatching a mysterious animal egg, encountering a dazzling crystal surprise and joining high-energy morning games that encourage creativity and teamwork.

Experiences are carefully crafted to spark joy and ensure the development of persistence, adaptability and creative problem-solving skills. Camp Invention is part of several programs promoting innovation for all ages in all communities.

It also works with 2,144 philanthropic partners making STEM education more accessible. Parents and grandparents describe children coming home eager to share what they learned, excited to bring inventions home, gaining confidence, making friends, enjoying hands-on creative play and looking forward to returning to Camp Invention in future years.
