About

The Ross Mathematics Program is a 6-week intensive summer experience that encourages motivated pre-college students to explore mathematics. During the program, students are immersed in a world of mathematical discovery in a focused and supportive environment for mathematical exploration.

• Schedule: 6-week intensive summer experience; Summer 2026 sessions run June 14 through July 24, 2026 at each program site

The Ross Mathematics Program states that mathematics is viewed as a genuine and rich human experience, and it is dedicated to creating an environment that allows students to explore their relationships with mathematics. The program emphasizes giving students the chance to dive into mathematics deeply, to contemplate and experience mathematics for themselves, and to share this exploration with others. The program description notes that many Ross students go on to be leaders in mathematics, business, technology, and other fields of scientific research. It also states that the value of a mathematics education includes allowing students to contemplate and reflect on their own lives, their communities, and how to live with and in the world, and that the Ross Program aims to support students along their life journeys. The Ross Program is dedicated to creating communities that are diverse, inclusive, and welcoming, and it welcomes and supports students of all backgrounds in the hopes of broadening the realm of mathematics. The Ross Program is supported by partners including the American Mathematical Society (AMS), Jane Street, and Citadel.
