Aim High Academy of Martial Arts offers classes and activities in Warriors MMA, Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Kickboxing, and MMA, along with camps, day camps, and Parents' Night Out events. Aim High Academy of Martial Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit martial arts school and a department of Aim High PDX. The MMA program is a moderate to high impact program for a wide age range and combines aspects of Filipino martial arts, sport karate, Muay Thai, Western boxing, jiu jitsu, and streetwise defense. The Taekwondo program blends Olympic and traditional styles of taekwondo with accents of Western boxing, Thai kickboxing, Judo, and physical fitness. Tang Soo Do includes basic hand and kicking techniques, target and pad work, forms, weapons, and options to participate in tournaments, regional training clinics, and to become a black belt. The Warriors program is for younger children and is separated into Little Warrior and Warrior Junior, teaching martial arts and life lessons like respect, confidence, focus, and self-control. The Kickboxing class is a moderate impact fitness and combat class with influences from taekwondo, Muay Thai, and Western boxing, for people seeking in-depth kickboxing training and a workout. Aim High camps are described as a fun and safe place for children to attend when they are on a school break. Aim High Academy of Martial Arts hires martial arts instructors who are experienced in a martial arts discipline and who can uphold and teach the core values of kindness, integrity, and respect.
