Enrichment Camps

Enrichment Camps offer weekly sessions where kids take part in hands-on activities such as cooking, LEGO engineering, art, pottery, performing arts, tabletop role-playing games, STEAM projects, and swimming. Each week features a different theme or focus within these activities, and space is limited to keep groups small. Activities are structured with clear guidance while still allowing room for imagination and self-expression, and kids work together on projects that involve collaboration.

Camps are led by experienced, supportive staff. The YMCA of Columbia-Willamette hosted its first meeting in the basement of the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Portland in 1868. YMCA of Columbia-Willamette states that its mission is to serve the community in spirit, mind, and body, and identifies its principles as love, respect, honesty, responsibility, and service. The organization facilitates summer enrichment camps at its Clark County Family YMCA and other community venues across Battle Ground, Ridgefield, Vancouver, and Camas. Assistance is available to qualified participants based on the stated belief that everyone deserves a chance to be a community member regardless of ability to pay.
