About
Academie de Ballet Classique offers dance classes in ballet, hip-hop, pointe, contemporary, lyrical, contemporary jazz, modern dance, and Silver Swans Contemporary Jazz, as well as private lessons. The program includes Petites Etoiles with five levels for ages 2–7, Etoiles Brilliantes with eight levels of graded ballet for ages 8 through adult, Les Etoiles for ages 11 through adult with ballet, pointe, contemporary, or lyrical, and Silver Swan Adults Dance for adults.

The leadership team includes Founder and Director Valerie Holgers (RAD RTS, RAD Teacher’s Certification Mentor), Senior Instructor and Choreographer Jennifer Gray, Senior Instructor and Choreographer Lindsey Clements, General Manager Na Spakousky, Concierge Assistant Teresa Blackman, teacher Ms. Brittany, and Katlynn Spakousky. Valerie Holgers is a registered Royal Academy of Dance teacher since 1974, is qualified in both executant and teacher exams in the Royal Academy of Dance, serves as a RAD Teacher’s Certification Mentor, and holds a bachelor of arts degree with a double major of arts. Jennifer Gray is a graduate of Performers College in London, England, has danced and sung professionally around the globe, and earned a teacher’s qualification with the ISTD and NATD in Imperial Classical Ballet and Modern Dance. Lindsey Clements was an honor dancer in Regional Dance America, has taught dance at Performing Arts Abroad in San Jose and at Danzay in Costa Rica, is a graduate of Point Park University, and studied at Alonzo King LINES Ballet’s summer intensive and the Utah Regional Ballet. General Manager Na Spakousky uses her accounting background and parent point of view, and Concierge Assistant Teresa Blackman uses her creative skills and has two children enrolled in multiple classes. Ms. Brittany began dancing at age 2, competed with Lomastro Performing Arts Academy, was captain of the Lake Forest Varsity Dance Team, led her team to UDA Nationals with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes, teaches at Academie de Ballet Classique and Sunriver Dance Studio, and is Head Coach of the Mountain View Dance Team, which she led to historic 1st and 2nd place finishes.
Academie de Ballet Classique is a certified member of the Royal Academy of Dance and an Approved Examination Center for the Royal Academy of Dance. The Royal Academy of Dance is recognized to award qualifications on the Regulated Qualifications Framework of the United Kingdom by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations (Ofqual), and students at Academie de Ballet Classique can earn education units with successful coursework through RAD. The studio is part of the Royal Academy of Dance family, joining ballet dance studios in 82 countries. The mission of the Académie de Ballet Classique (Royal Dance Academy) in Bend, OR, is to provide comprehensive ballet education for all ages, from children to adults, with programs tailored to different skill levels, including pointe, contemporary, and lyrical dance, and a focus on fostering creativity, discipline, and artistry in a welcoming environment while empowering dancers through expert instruction.
