Holt Adoptee Summer Camp has been held for 42 summers and serves domestic and international adoptee youth, including same-race, transracial and transcultural adoptees placed through any agency. The Oregon camp session will run for six full days from Monday, July 20 through Saturday, July 25, 2026, and meals are included in the registration fee. The program uses a curriculum for adoptees, by adoptees, and everything at camp has been created and implemented by adult adoptee staff, with campers supervised 24/7 by trained adult adoptee camp counselors. Safety is listed as the first priority, with staff carefully selected and screened, and camp counselors receiving 40 hours of pre-camp training. A Counselor in Training program is available for adoptees ages 18 and older who are interested in becoming camp counselors, and Family Day Camp invites parents with younger children to attend. Camp scholarships are available, and donations to the Holt Camp Fund support young adoptees and families within their community.
The camp director and adoptee programs manager is Elliot Bliss. Holt International, which runs the camp, is a Christian organization that provides care and support to many of the world’s most vulnerable children, empowers families to overcome poverty, cares for children in orphanages, and unites children with families through adoption. Holt International is a Hague-accredited adoption agency.
