Minecraft: Create & Survive is a multiplayer enrichment camp that takes place indoors in the Oak Hill School Tech Barn and requires each camper to have a Microsoft account, a Minecraft license, and multiplayer mode enabled, with parents providing login credentials during enrollment. Enrichment camps are taught by a specialist instructor with a passion for the subject, and Oak Hill School teachers are certified in their fields, with more than 75% holding advanced degrees. Oak Hill School, which operates Camp Wild Oaks, was founded in 1994, is accredited by the Northwest Association of Independent Schools, and offers a pre-kindergarten through 8th-grade program that includes foreign languages starting in kindergarten, a natural world program and outdoor pursuits, technology, music, theater and visual arts, physical education, athletics, and activities.

Oak Hill School states that its mission is to nurture each student by cultivating a love of learning, encouraging them to think deeply and explore boldly, and using hands-on, experiential learning so students discover the world around them and grow into individuals who care deeply for others. The school has a Community Support Association that encourages family involvement in school activities, supports communication between families, teachers, and staff, and works to strengthen the school community. Testimonials from teachers, staff, and parents describe Oak Hill as a community where faculty cooperate and participate, where children receive individual attention, where teachers are given freedom to create and run programs, and where the campus is used in many ways for younger and older students, with families encouraged to contribute time in areas such as the garden and art room.
