River Road Park & Recreation District Gymnastics offers Preschool Open Gym, School Age Open Gym, Fabulous Friday Open Gym, and private gymnastics lessons. At Preschool Open Gym, children use tumbling and in-ground trampolines, bars, rings, beams, and fun shaped mats, with an adult accompanying them. Instruction is also available on an individual basis at any skill level through private lessons.
• Ages: Walking–12 years old
• Schedule: Preschool Open Gym on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.; School Age Open Gym and Fabulous Friday Open Gym on Fridays from 7:00–8:30 p.m.; all classes run on a monthly, ongoing basis
• Price: $50 for a 1-hour private lesson; $40 for a 3/4-hour private lesson; $25 for a 1/2-hour private lesson; $6 per child for Preschool Open Gym; $6 per child for School Age Open Gym and Fabulous Friday Open Gym
The gymnastics center is home of Gymnastics Northwest and includes all Olympic apparatus with professional coaches providing a complete, safe, and well-designed program. Preschool Open Gym is for ages walking–5, with a maximum of 2 children per adult. School Age Open Gym and Fabulous Friday Open Gym are for ages 6–12 and take place in a gym loaded with equipment and promote practicing skills and making new friends. Gymnasts can be tested into any skill level with the approval of the head coach, and there are no refunds or credits for absenteeism or inclement weather. Tuition for classes is due the first business day of every month and is payable to River Road Park’s Gymnastics online or by calling 541-688-8955 with a credit card, and there is no online registration for gymnastics classes. A Gymnastics Scholarship program provides financial assistance to eligible families, making monthly dues more accessible for children.
